Cops, Crimes, and the Blurred Lines

            Cops keep the laws that govern our society. But when do the lines of wrong and right blur? When does the grey area impact the way they investigate a fellow cop? How does their job affect other aspects of their life?

Matty Dalrymple is the author of the Lizzy Ballard Thrillers, beginning with Rock Paper Scissors; the Ann Kinnear Suspense Novels, beginning with The Sense of Death; and the Ann Kinnear Suspense Shorts. She is a member of International Thriller Writers and Sisters in Crime. Matty also podcasts, writes, speaks, and consults on the writing craft and the publishing voyage as The Indy Author, and her articles have appeared in Writer’s Digest magazine.

Con Lehane is the author of the 42nd Street Library mystery novels, most recently Murder by Definition. He’s also published stories in Alfred Hitchcock and Ellery Queen mystery magazines, and is the author of the Bartender Brian McNulty mystery series. He holds an MFA in fiction writing from Columbia University School of the Arts and teaches fiction writing and mystery and suspense writing at The Writer’s Center in Bethesda.

Peter W. J. Hayes worked as a journalist, advertising copywriter and marketing executive before
turning to mystery and crime writing. Peter writes the Vic Lenoski mystery series, with the fifth
book launching in September of 2023. He has published more than twenty short stories, and his
work has been a finalist for or won the Silver Falchion, Derringer, Al Blanchard, Crime Writer’s
Association, and Pennwriter’s awards.
