About Us

A locally-owned, independent book shop, Mechanicsburg Mystery Books Shop has been in business since October of 1990. Our initial inventory included only new books. Over the years, we've gradually added gifts, gift baskets/boxes/bags and used books to our growing inventory.

While we have thousands of used books in stock that range in condition from "Fair" or "Reading Copy Only" to "Near Fine" only those books that are rated at least "Very Good" up to and including "Near Fine" are on our Website. If you are looking for a book you can't find on our Website, email us with the title and author and we will let you know if we have it on our shelves and the condition of the book.

If you have any questions regarding the status of your order, upcoming mysteries from your favorite author; if you can't remember a title or an author but remember the characters or what the book was about; contact us and we will do our best to try to help you with your search.
